Interview with three-star defensive tackle Braezhon Ross

Three-star defensive tackle Braezhon Ross has earned a number of scholarships from Power Five schools in the past few months.

The 6-foot, 266-pounds defensive linemen is from Las Vegas, Nevada. He goes to Desert Pines High School in Clark County, Nevada. He was named First Team All-Northeast this season.

Just a few weeks ago, Ross took a visit to USC with a number of other highly touted recruits.

I spoke with Ross on Tuesday about his recruitment, the visit to USC, and more.

Q: According to 247sports, you’re the 5th best player overall in the state of Nevada. What does that mean to you?

A: “It’s means nothing, I’m still not number one.”

Q: What is something that people should know about Braezhon Ross?

A: “He comes and works hard every down, every play, every practice.”

Q: What would you say your biggest strength is as a player?

A: “I believe my get off is the biggest strength of my game.”

Q: Growing up, what was a dream school for you?

A: “Oregon.”

Q: What schools have been recruiting you?

A: “USC, Washington State, UNLV, Arizona State, Arizona, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee.”

Q: Which schools recruiting you have impressed you the most?

A: “Arizona State has impressed me the most.”

Q: Which schools on that list are you planning on visiting?

A: “Washington State and Georgia.”

Q: A few weeks ago, you visited USC with a number of other highly touted recruits. How was that visit for you?

A: “The visit was fun. I had a great time.”

Q: Has the coronavirus had an impact on any camps or college visits you were planning on taking?

A: “I was supposed to go Oklahoma on the 28th but it got canceled.”

Q: Who would you say is a player that you model your game after?

A: “Khalil Mack.”
