Interview with four-star offensive tackle Tyler Booker

Class of 2022 Tyler Booker is currently the number one ranked tackle and the 13th overall player in the nation by 247sports.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive tackle is from New Haven, Connecticut. He holds offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Penn State, and a handful of other Power Five schools.
Recently, Booker announced that was committing to play in the Under Armour All-American Game.
I spoke with Booker on Wednesday about his recruitment, being the number one ranked offensive tackle in the country, and more.
Q: What is something that people should know about Tyler Booker?
A: “Tyler Booker will out work anyone to be the best.”
Q: What would you say your biggest strength as a player is?
A: “My aggression and football IQ.”
Q: You’re currently the number one ranked offensive tackle in the nation according to 247sports. What does that mean to you?
A: “It means a lot but I still have a lot of work to do. I want to be the number one overall player in my class!”
Q: Which schools would you say are recruiting you the hardest right now?
A: “Georgia, Florida, Florida State, and Penn State.”
Q: Which schools recruiting you have impressed you the most?
A: “Georgia and Florida because I’ve been on campus and I like what they have to offer academically.”
Q: What schools are you planning on visiting?
A: “Penn State, Michigan, and Michigan State are my top priorities to visit.
Q: In early March, you visited Florida. What was that like for you?
A: “It was a great experience to actually get on campus because I was such a big fan of them when I was younger.”
Q: Just a few days ago, you committed to play in the UA All American Game. Why is that the one you chose to play in rather than the Adidas All American Game, Polynesian Bowl, etc.?
A: “I chose the UA game because I enjoyed my time at the 8th grade game so much and it’s always been a dream to play in the high school game.”
